Ever since Alison gave birth to her own daughter 6 years ago, she has been passionate about birth and providing a safe presence in birth. She is well on her way to becoming a licensed homebirth midwife.. Seeing peaceful home births has made her more passionate about educating mothers about the physiological process of birth.
In her time outside of the birth space, Alison spends a lot of time with her daughter as a single mother, balancing work and play. She also has a deeply rooted interest in horses and cares for her own and others part time. Alison has many varying interests, such as reading, snow sports, cooking, and traveling. She is homeschooling her daughter and looks forward to someday having her own small homestead.
