I have a back-up doula that I work with and if I am unable to be present for your birth I would provide her with the necessary information about your preferences and logistics and she would support you in place of me. If the chances are higher at the time of your due date that I would be otherwise occupied, I would have you meet with her or have a phone conversation before your due date.
It is my job to support you and your choices and beliefs, even when they differ greatly from my own. No, I am not here to push an "all-natural" birth on you, nor am I here to tell you which medication to take. I am simply there for support of you and your partner and/or young children. It is your birth, your body, and your baby!
Your partner plays an important role in labor , and I am here to support that role and encourage your partner to assist you in the most helpful, calm, informed way possible. No, I do not replace your partner in this important time in your lives.
I offer an affordable $800 rate for the entire package, and I am a medicaid provider. Also open to trades and payment plans.
Often-times people can feel excluded from decision-making and experience a lack of control or lack of feeling heard and appreciated by medical personnel. I am here to help you advocate for yourself in those situations. I am can also just be that person you need to listen.
- example: plus size persons, LGBTQ, single parents, racial minorities
I’m all for it! Let’s let nature take the lead and your body do the work. I support all births and will help you advocate for your choices, assuming there’s no risk involved and you and baby are safe!
Are you inclined to go with the flow and don‘t want to “plan” your birth? Are you open to pain medications and interventions? I support all births! I’m here to ensure you’re comfortable and making informed decisions and are aware of the risks and benefits.
Just like your doctor, midwife, or therapist, I am obligated to keep all of your information and experiences to myself and are not to be shared with the public or even my closest friends. Any pictures taken would require permission before sharing.
I welcome questions, concerns, comments, anything, via phone call, text, or email, before and after your birth, at any time. Often a good friend can come along! My door does not close. However, please be respectful and mindful of my time.
